Local Lifestyle
Watercolor is a mix of casual beach life and upscale luxury, with the former evident in the demeanor of residents and the latter evident in the gorgeous traditional Southern houses. Life here is slow and relaxed, with many people in town to relax on vacation.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Watercolor has plenty of dining options, allowing residents to remain close to home and still enjoy delectable cuisine. The Gathering Spot, located at the Watercolor Inn, is perfect for breakfast, with homemade biscuits warm from the oven, but if you want something a bit faster and more portable, head to Modica Market for breakfast sandwiches or an easy pastry. Modica is located in downtown Seaside just minutes from Watercolor.
For dinner, Fish Out Of Water is one of the best seafood restaurants around - high praise for a town that is literally on the water. Enjoy the flavorful blackened swordfish or try their signature pasta with seafood in a white wine and lemon sauce. Afterward, enjoy sampling some new vintages of wine at the Wine Bar with your friends.
Things to Do
There is no reason to be bored in Watercolor. Head to Western Lake for paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing, or play tennis on one of the five courts at the Watercolor Tennis Center. Both kids and adults love the array of activities available at Camp Watercolor – a day camp with a swimming pool, playground, and an outdoor amphitheater.
Golfers will quickly become fans of Camp Creek Golf Club, featuring an 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio and offering landscape challenges that belie Florida’s fairly flat terrain. This mesmerizing course is a short golf cart or car ride down 30A from Watercolor. The Watercolor Beach Club provides access to three pools, resort dining, and views of the Gulf of Mexico from its location atop the dunes that lead to the beach.
