Seagrove

Welcome to Seagrove

Seagrove is a quiet, laid back beach town featuring elements of Old Florida and the untouched beauty of nature, married with modern conveniences.

Seagrove is an eclectic town with 1950s cinderblock houses next to modern homes, gnarled trees and white sand beaches, upscale restaurants, and quirky small shops. With easy access to the beach and two dune lakes, as well as Point Washington State Forest, the location lends itself to active and outdoorsy lifestyles.

Residents of Seagrove love to spend time in the Florida sun hiking, biking, and exploring the beach, living the epitome of laid-back and relaxed beach life. In the evenings, they seek out delicious cuisine and companionship at the top-notch restaurants in the area or wander around nearby downtown Seaside until sunset.

Local Lifestyle

The area is increasingly popular due in part to its central location along 30A. Visitors love to rent bikes here and get some light exercise on the dedicated pedestrian path on the main road and the side streets of Seagrove’s residential neighborhood. The comfortable pace of life and quiet ambiance, especially during sunrise and sunset, contribute to Seagrove’s Old Florida atmosphere.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Seagrove has some amazing restaurants and shopping in the area. Enjoy martinis and fresh seafood at Surfing Deer, or opt for their saucy short ribs with a side of jalapeno cornbread. Since seafood is a staple in beachside towns, another option is the Old Florida Fish House, where you’ll find fish prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the ocean.

Cafe Thirty-A is a charming cafe with delicious, upscale dishes, such as lobster macaroni and cheese or tandoori salmon, perfect for an intimate evening out. For a faster, casual option, head to Angelina’s and get the best pizza in town.

Handle all of your shopping needs at Seagrove Plaza, a small outdoor mall with a variety of stores. Nearby is Goatfeather’s Seafood Market, if you’re planning on making fish for dinner - ask them what’s best that day and you can’t go wrong.

Things to Do

There’s plenty of beach access for playing with the family, looking for seashells and sand dollars, and lounging within earshot of the gentle Gulf waves. Prime beach season here lasts from May to September; if you’re here in the cooler months, be sure to pack a light jacket to wear out to dinner and for nighttime beach walks. Seagrove has a dune lake, Eastern Lake, that people like to visit. Just north of Seagrove, hunters, off-road bikers, and hikers like to change things up with a visit to Point Washington State Forest. New trail systems are under construction and will increase the total trail mileage to 27 miles.
